Map Viewers
Use BioViews Java display applets to search and display Drosophila Genome Project data.
If your browser is Java-capable, you can run BioViews by following the links below. Problems? Want more details? Then please visit the BioViews Java Help Page.
- Annotated Genomic Sequence Viewer: GeneSeen Shows curated annotations on the genomic sequence by chromosome arm. Use GeneSeen to see annotations on the genomic sequence--currently genes and transposons--and to browse the entire genome.
- Physical Map Viewer (BAC and P1): ArmView View BAC- and P1-based STS content maps of chromosome arms. Map positions confirmed by polytene chromosome in situ hybridization are indicated.
Implementation Notes: The BioViews displays are written in Java, using the Genome Software Development Kit, which we developed in close collaboration with Neomorphic Software, Inc. A (practically free!) academic release of the Genome SDK is now available. Government and academic groups can download Genome SDK from Neomorphic Software after faxing them a signed license agreement. Please contact Neomorphic Software for details:
